Should marjuiana be legalized?| By Nicki on Tuesday, March 07, 2006 - 04:42 pm: |
I think if cannabis generally would be legalized it would solve a lot of problems. Also, cannabis can be useful for other things, too. Whatever happens, not much is being done against drugs now, is it? any change would be for the better. Besides, maybe if it were legal, it wouldn't give people as big a 'kick' and it wouldn't be so popular. Worth a try, at least.

Why only marijuana? I think it would be wise to legalize cocaine, and heroine, and marijuana because I think that if we did that we could better track and better tax those people that produce, distribute, sell, and use those types of drugs. I think we would cut down on some crimes that are becoming more and more significant such as muggings, robbery, break-ins, smuggling, and many, many murders. I think that we could reduce government spending used to try to curb or eliminate drug crime dramatically. The tax revenue alone that could be levied on these drugs and could be used to curb habits but would be a great boost to our individual state’s coffers that could in turn be used for the common good of everyone as well.
I think that we know in the U.S. how alcohol prohibition over 75 years ago did not work and you would think by now we could all plainly see how drug prohibition that has been in place for over fifty years has not worked and is not working now and will not work ever. Why? Because like alcohol prohibition people want it and people will pay almost anything to get it and other people will see to it that they can get it for a very, very high price.
I think once these drugs are legalized that the government can significantly gain what their outdated drug policies have not done before and still cannot do now, and that is, they could by legalization policies control the drugs production, distribution, sale, and the demographic of the end-user and how they use those drugs and by that knowledge track those people and get the help that they may need to over-come their addiction and we could receive by way of levied taxes for ourselves the great stacks of money that these huge drug cartels and other crime families get.
Once we have government regulation of these now illegal drugs, I feel certain that we would all see and feel, in short order too, the positive affects all across the U.S.A. and around the globe.
Why should only those that deal illegally with these drugs get all of the financial benefits such as live in their big mansions and palaces while we have to do all of the suffering and the worrying and the grieving? I say legalize drugs! Before all of us get mugged and killed and robbed by another drug addict and seller! And, let’s stop the money going to those unsavory people around the globe and let’s get a little of that money for ourselves. What do you say?
Why do we have to put up with even one more year of drug related crimes here when all that we need to do to cut them down significantly and permanently is to do what we did with alcohol many years ago and legalize some of these illegal drugs and gain that control that we have not got now?
America, “Wake up and smell the pot!” And, let all of us sleep a little better tonight in our already too uncomfortable beds! Thank you!

I think that marjuiana should be legalized I dont think that it does any harm to anyone and it makes you feel awsome. Its like drinking you cant drink and drive like you can smoke and drive as long as u keep it in ur home it should be alright.
