they weren't the principal inhabitants of kashmir....they took advantage of the lenience of the peace loving pandits and have acted as foxes in laying the pandits baits to terrorism.......and now they claim a separate state of kashmir-the land of hindu culture, the land that gave sanskrit to the world, the land of the vedas, how just is it to stand with the kashmiris?

No, only the pandits do. If Islamists were capable of it, the solution could be a pluralist democratic state, but that's not likely. While the Muslims and India tear away at it like dogs with a meaty bone, there's Buckley's hope of anything "rightful" eventuating there, any more than in Palestine.

No. Kashmir was to be independent of muslisms and Hindis as to decided their faith. Muslism and Hindus want that territorry for too many reasons and that never be explained. It is more than a land grab.

Before India's independence from British in 1947 there was no India as we see it now. There were only kings ruling (under British) different countries of their own. Sardar Vallabai patel was the person responsible for uniting all these princely states (or small countries ) under British colony to be a single country.

The president of the Muslim league (a political party representing muslims) Mohammed Ali Jinnah wanted a separate country for muslims. He insisted on they do not want the independence if they do not get an independent country for themselves. So under this pressure Pakistan(princely states brought together by Ali Jinnah) and East Pakistan(current Bangladesh) were declared separate country.

But there was one princely state that still needed to be merged. That was Kashmir. Most of the population in Kashmir were muslims, but the king of Kashmir was a Hindu. When he was given the option of joining either India or Pakistan he chose India. If he were a muslim he would have chosen Pakistan and we might not have these terrorist wars.

And it is not the Kashmiris who want a separate state, but the neighbouring country terrorists.

If you want to go back eras where the region of India was fully of Hindus and the Muslims invaded it, then u can as well go the era where Aryans(Pandits) came and occupied India where there were only Dravidians.
