An extreme solution to racism said with humor. Or IS it?
Racial division has been a problem longer that any simple solution could ever begin to fix, or even make a try at fixing.
That however should be no reason not to try a few overly simple and yet complex and extreme experiments.
About ten years ago the University of Arizona developed something they called Melatonin a synthetic hormone that simulated the production of melanin in people who already produce some. The result being that it simulated the treated to become darker than they ever could without the treatment.
At first in the animal trials the reactions were marked. Frogs injected with the stuff were turned a very dark ebony. They lessened this effect and were working to develop a true tan from ether an injection or a pill.
When human trials were started it was discovered that in some men Melatonin had the same effect as ******. Seeing this Arizona quickly dropped their original research and started working on ways to take out the darkening effect while leaving in the harding one and are now only researching this as Melatonin II
A company in Australia however has just recently (Nov. 2001) began research on the original formula (after all they have that ozone hole to worry about). There is also something called Melatanx which has the same effect.
That brings us to a novel idea for the racial division we all know. Simple, using the products above along with other modern advances in plastic surgery and hair treatment convert a certain percentage of the the white population into black people.
They say that the body is destiny, and if you have read the book Black Like Me or seen the film based on it you know the profound effect even that experience had.
Imagine the effect that could be obtained with the far better results that could be produced today.
I do not think that a great number of whites would need to undergo this process. Perhaps one percent? While the number would be small I think the effect of their entrance back into society as black men and women would have a response far greater then the small sample of transformed.
Perhaps some black people could be of help in this project. Adopting, as it were, one or more changed whites and helping them become part of the general black population.
Some might even be able to introduce the changling into certain social groups, or sub-groups. Their help with encouragement, correction, and training would be invaluable. Perhaps even a course in retraining and hypnoses learning could be set up.
Lastly, if one were to carry out such an experiment for social enlightenment, a small groups might also be taken even further.
Out of the one or two percent of the white population that becomes black a few, no more then say from 5 to 50 of the white men could be reassigned as black women.
If you can only understand someone if you walk a mile in their shoes, then perhaps this is just what is needed. All it would take is a bit more research and those willing to run with it.
And think how much more positive an effect this would be then the slavery for whites as one person suggested?
There is even a web page and mailing list dedicated to the idea.
