Bluray Disk technology and format
The Bluray disk format was jointly developed by the BDA bluray Disc Association. The main supporter of the bluray recordable dvd disk is Sony. The bluray Disk Association is a group of the world's leading PC, consumer electronics, such as Mitsubishi, Dell, HP, JVC, Sony, TDK. The bluray recordable dvd disk format was developed so that rewriting and playback could be enabled on the HDV. The bluray recordable dvd disk has the capacity to store large volumes of data.

LTO-2 tape Ultrium Drive Encryption Technology
The open standard lto-2 tape format specification includes the ability for data to be encrypted by the lto-2 tape drive hardware. The Ultrium LTO 4 Tape Drive encryption is specified as part of the LTO4 open standard format with the Advanced Encryption Standard AES-GCM Galois Counter Mode algorithm implemented in the lto-2 tape drive formatter electronics. The implementation supports the IEEE P1619.1 standard for lto-2 tape based encryption and the T10 SCSI command set.
Data files are taken from the server and pass through the SCSI interface to the lto-2 tape drive. The SCSI commands issued by the server control the encryption status and the cipher key. The lto-2 tape drive then encrypts and compresses the data before writing it to tape as cipher text in the lto-2 tape.
