ED is under the Finance Minister, who negotiated between Natwar Singh and Manmohan Singh last time. Why Govt. did not give liberty to Pathak Commision to examine the Volcker papers and interrogate Matherani and others in public, instead of the ED in secrect? Why the simultaneous secret investigation by ED when a public inquiry has been announced?

As reported in media the Pathak Committee report especially on the basis of leters of Natwar to Iraquee authority for Jagat, Sehagal and Aditya found that Natwar and his son had misused their position to name the Congress party in helping Sehgal and Khanna bag three oil contracts from the UN sanctioned Saddam regime. Then how Sonia and Congress can save their skin when Sonia as president of Congress had given two letters to Natwar for Saddam Hussain?

Andaleeb Sehgal and Aditya Khanna, in turn, passed the contracts on to Swiss oil company Masefield AG that drew the oil and paid them a commission, the report says. In this article I explained the relation of Sonia with Swiss ased Italian company Masefield AG.

Andaleeb launched the Hamdan Exports with schoolmate Vikas Dhar, son of Vijay Dhar, a businessman from Srinagar. Vijay is the son of DP Dhar. Vikas Dhar is grandson of D P Dhar, a close friend and Principal advisor to Indira Gandhi.

Vijendra has been a Congress MLA from Nalagarh.

Vipin Khanna is an arms dealer. Vipin Khanna runs a company called TSL Defence Technologies. He is very close to Natwar Singh. When the Prime Minister of Luxembourg called on Sonia Gandhi in 1999-2000, Natwar brought Vipin Khanna to 10 Janpath.

Arvind Khanna has two brothers Aditya Khanna and Navin Khanna. They are the relatives of Natwar Singh. Aditya Khanna is a London-based businessman. He is Managing Director of DSSI Group. Jagat Singh, son of Natwar Singh is a Congress MLA from Lachmangarh in Alwar district and his cousin is Andaleeb Sehgal.

We see Italian names as owners in the companies associated with Masefield AG. Welgas Holdings and Pragma Energy, formerly Masefield Coalfields, reportedly had officials or offices in India. Enel is also an Italian company.

The Masefield is a Zug-based (Swiss) oil-trading company controlled by protégés of Marc Rich. Marc Rich is one of Switzerland’s wealthiest residents, and is one of its largest taxpayers. He is discreetly protected by the Swiss police and security apparatus, as many journalists seeking information have found out. India should not expect any real cooperation or evidence from that Canton or Switzerland.

“The statement of Myles T Stott that the amount Bofors had paid AE Services was related to the agreement of sale of guns to India; (b) and the trail of subsequent transfers of the money to companies owned by Quattrocchi-from AE Services to Colbar Investments to Wetelsen Overseas. At page 7 of its judgment, the Swiss Court then noted.

Mr. Stott had link with AWB ltd. He was then head of international sales and marketing for this company. This is Australian Wheat Export Monopoly Company having also office in Delhi India. Present Indian Govt. imported wheat through this company. Why? Volcker named this company in Oil for Food Scam. AWB ltd was the biggest exporter of Humantarian goods to Iraq. Volcker also named ‘Natwar’ ‘Bhimsen’ and ‘congress.

As reported by Craig Rowley on January 24, 2006: Mr. Stott negotiated the physical payment of A$200 million of gold owned by Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to the Australian government against future deliveries of wheat.

Letters of Sonia Gandhi to Saddam

Iraq based NRI businessman Haridarshan Singh Majie, whose company has been based in Iraq for 30 years had said to a TV channel that Saddam gave Mr Singh the oil contract after the latter met him in 2001 and presented him the letter from Ms Sonia Gandhi. Mr Majie claimed that Saddam forwarded Ms Gandhi’s letter to the Iraq oil ministry and it was part of record on the basis of which the Volcker Committee prepared its report listing Mr Singh and the Congress as beneficiaries.

Ambika Soni on Nov 2005 read out the two letters of Sonia Gandhi in the parliament.

In the first letter, dated January 17, 2001, Sonia referred to the old ties between the Congress and the Baath Party, recalling that Baath representatives had been attending plenary sessions of the AICC. She also mentioned the cordial relations which India had with Iraq under the government headed by "my husband'' (Rajiv Gandhi).

India, Sonia wrote to Saddam, always stood for meeting Iraq's humanitarian and infrastructural requirements.

In the second letter, dated April 24 2001, Sonia congratulated Saddam on his 64th birthday on April 28 and reiterated the points she had made in the earlier letter.
